PBS National Parks Series is "Tree-Mendous"

Hey Kids,

Be sure to tune into PBS to see the Ken Burns National Park series! It's "Tree-Mendous"! Some of my relatives have starring roles, like the ancient trees in Yosemite! I grew up with some of those guys. Me and my old buddy, John Muir used to talk for hours about deep rooted wisdom! This is one "in-TREE-ging" TV series and my buddies at PBS are bringing it to you!

Cousins adopt Bark Buddies and plant a tree together!

Hey Brandy, thanks for sending us the picture of you and your cousin with your live Bark Buddies Tree and your huggable Bark Buddies too! I'm so glad to hear another happy adoption story. I see you have your "B'Earth Certificate" proudly displayed in a frame...I bet that will mean a lot to you when you're all grown up and can show it to your kids someday! It makes you feel really good knowing you've planted your very own tree to make a difference. I'm also happy to see you both outdoors, playing and having a good time. We trees make great outdoor buddies, we give you shade when it's hot, and in the fall, when some of us shed our leaves, you can have a lot of fun raking the leaves up and jumping in them! Just be careful when you're sledding in the winter, that you don't run into us...OUCH!!! for you and for us!

Keep playing and planting! BTW, the Stinkwood Cousins here in the Secret Valley send you and your cousin their stinky greetings:) Those Stinkwood trees are something else, you'd think after we've had a good rain bath, they'd smell better, but they don't...I don't get it. They're always stirring up a stink around the Secret Valley. Oh well, remember Brandy, the Bark Buddie Trees are ROOTING-4-YOU!

What a nice thank you note April! We had a "tree-mendous" day root skooting at your school's "Outdoor Classroom". Thanks for inviting us! That's why we're here ...to ROOT-4-YOU and show you how to be healthy, happy and in this case, smarter because now, you know the parts of a tree! I hope you always remember the things you learned because we Bark Buddies Trees are working hard for you...growing food, holding the dirt in place, giving you shade, cleaning your air, sheltering animals, even giving you pencils and paper for school! Hey Kids, I've got a great tip to help you "LEAF" a happy little footprint on the planet - when you're brushing those pearly whites, turn the water off until you're ready to rinse. You can save a bunch of water that way and your teeth won't even know the difference!

Don't think I'm not computer saavy enough to read this B-LOG! Just because I'm the oldest, wisest living thing on earth, and have a few hundred years growth of moss, doesn't mean I can't kick up my roots and boot up on the computer! I can multi-task you know...I can surf the net, grow some sweet paw paw fruit, clean the air, make a breeze, give homes to thousands of ants, birds, squirrels and critters all at the same time, just for starters...see if you can do that?

I can BLOG with the best of you and I'm keeping my eye on all you young Bark Buddie Trees. BTW, did you guys hear my interview on the radio the other day? Backstage Gourmet Global Radio had me on as a special guest talking about my upcoming book, "Bark Buddies Big Book of Backyard Fun" and our big plans to be on TV soon. Of course, I shared a couple of my favorite watermelon recipes with PJ, the host too. If you didn't hear it, you missed a chance of a lifetime - hearing me sing a song...since the Bark Buddie Band never asks me to sing along in their "Let Nature Sing" Celebri-TREE tour, I decided to sing a solo!
